BIOGRAPHY

Gigi Hoeller was born and raised in West Vancouver, British Columbia. After extensive travels and ten years on Vancouver Island, she has finally settled in Halfmoon Bay, on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia. Here she has her own gallery "The Gigi Hoeller Gallery" where she lives with her partner and a small pack of large dogs.

The creative energy of the Sunshine Coast fills and feeds Gigi, and she is able to paint on a regular basis.

The paintings Gigi paints are done almost entirely with her fingers. Her subject matter range from bright and colourful florals, kitchen-sized fruits and veggies, landscapes and architecture to interior design. Her latest endeavour has been a series of Totems. Several of the Totems and Landscapes are also available in limited edition prints.

In 2005, Gigi was awarded a commission to design twelve postage stamps for the Marshall Islands. She has participated in numerous shows, including a solo exhibition at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver, the Tidemark Theatre in Campbell River and the Blackberry Gallery in Port Moody, among many others.

She has donated several pieces of artwork for charity, including the "Theatre Terrific Society," "Living Oceans Society" and "Street Artworks."

Gigi's work can be viewed at "Final Touch Frames" in Vancouver. A series of tropical fish can be viewed at "The Dundarave Fish Market" in West Vancouver, and various pieces can be seen at "The Woods Showcase" at the Sunnycrest Mall in Gibsons. The majority of her work is on display at her own gallery in Halfmoon Bay.

Gigi accepts commissions as well. If you have a favourite flower, a bouquet, a pet, a photo of your home or garden, or a photo from your favourite vacation, she is available to commemorate it for you. A commissioned painting can take anywhere from a week to a month to paint, depending on the subject matter and size. Price is based upon estimated time and size of painting. Several things to consider for a commissioned painting are:

1) size of painting
2) vertical or horizontal
3) color scheme
4) budget
