It got fairly complicated, so we decided to let it go and not pester them about it. Our property doesn't border the highway, so we didn't have an option to put it on our property... It's not too complicated of a process - submit forms to Department of Transportation, who forwards the paperwork to the highways department - but you have to stay on top of it, or it can get lost in the shuffle... this is when nagging helps. Did you put it on your own property or on the highway shoulder? I suppose the edges of the road bordering the highway belong to them. (You'll have to buy a little patch of land 3 feet square right next to the highway shoulder just for your sign.) ps I always wondered where all those little A signs came from.
